Bubble rib scarf
This scarf knits up with a slight bobble texture due to the slipped stitches bubbling the fabric slightly and does not require blocking as this will flatten the bubbled effect.
This pattern can be worked on using any yarn and the appropriate needles if you just knit a tension gauge first and adjust the number of cast on stitches accordingly. I used an aranweight yarn and 5mm needles for this one.
Row 1: k1, sl1, k1, * p3, k1, sl1, k1, rep from * to end
Row 2: p3, *k1, sl1, k1, p3, rep from * to end
Repeat these 2 rows 7 times in total (14 rows worked)
Row 15: p3, *k1, sl1, k1, p3, rep from * to end
Row 16: k1, sl1, k1, *p3, k1,sl1, k1, rep from * to end
Repeat last two rows 7 times (14 rows in total)
These 28 rows form pattern.
Repeat until scarf is desired length.
Cast off and add fringe, bobble, etc.

Chunky Cable headband.
Knitted headbands look lovely but do have a tendency to become a little loose after a while. I designed this one with a button trim so that the button can be moved along to tighten the headband up if it does begin to stretch. I am going to try this pattern on other less bulky yarns at some point but would love to hear from you if you adapt in this way x
Using 10mm needles and super chunky/super bulky yarn (I used Araucania Limari) cast on 4sts using cable cast on (this gives a slightly firmer edge but you can use any cast on you prefer).
